I am reading a study called Tongue Pierced by Nelson Searcy. Actually, I finished it some time ago but it’s relevance in our lives is huge and it pertains to so many. This is from the study, “Did you know your thought life manifests itself in the quality of your relationships with others? That’s because how you think and feel about yourself dictates how you interact with people. Are you sabotaging your relationships with your own negative self-talk?”
If you struggle with negative thinking I’m sure the relationships you have in your life struggle to breath as well. You know who you are…Start changing the way you THINK about yourself..and start changing your life!!
This bible verse tells us what we should be focusing our thoughts on, noble, good, praiseworthy things. Negative thinking is just another way for Satan to distract us from following Gods plan. Trust and taking everything to the Lord. Amen.
I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

This Sundays message was amazing. Let it Go, let God handle it. In life we as Christ followers carry and hold on to way to much baggage. Issues from childhood, marriage issues, insecurities and personal issues, issues, issues, issues….Baggage that has accumulated over time which causes pain to not only ourselves but to those we keep close. Lots of pain. Jesus offers happiness that transcends anything we can do. The secret to letting go is to just trust Jesus, however one of the most difficult things in life to do is TO LET GO. Be honest, I am sure there is something you need to let go???? Letting go is the essence of what faith is. Our pastor said ruthless faith (trusting in God when everything tells you don’t). Today start with faith in all things and draw your strength from the Lord. Amen
My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
John 15:12-13 NIV
You say the words “I love you” you text the words “I love you” yet do you really know what love is? Do you know how to love? The Lord says…Love each other as I have loved you. When I sit back and think about that… love as I have loved you? Man that is going to be tough, not going to lie. Jesus loved his enemies, can I do that? Jesus loved unconditionally, do I? Jesus loved abundantly, have I? Jesus is love, am I that? Jesus died for me, would I do that? I am no where close to loving as Jesus, but I am darn well going to try. Loving like Jesus requires a soft heart, spirit filled with joy, and a mind that looks to the positives. No matter what is going on in life, he is always there. So love someone today as if it were your last time seeing them and then do it again tomorrow, and the next day and the next..and the next. Love them like Jesus. Amen.
Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.

Last night we had a great conversation about the breast plate of righteousness. Our armor of God is made up of different pieces each designed to serve a purpose. In men’s group we discussed how easy it is to walk out our door in the morning without putting on the full armor of God. If we forget just one piece, Satan has way in, if we misuse any part of the armor, Satan has a way in. If we tell the Lord “no I got this” trusting in ourselves, Satan has a way in. The Lord says “put on” the full armor, meaning we have a choice to make, to do or not to do. I don’ know about you, but I don’t want to go into battle with nothing, that would be stupid. Suit up, be prepared, and stand firm. We are in a spirtual battle, for your mind, your heart, ultimatey your soul. Be Prepared! Amen.
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
So as I research into the belt of truth… I came across this on freebiblestudyguides.org and found it to be powerful…”The world we live in teaches that truth is what we make it—that good and bad are relative and that there are no absolutes, only equally valid opinions. But the Bible teaches that truth is God’s Word—that good and bad are defined by Him and that there are eternal and unchangeable absolutes, uninfluenced by opinions.”
what if a belt with just missing a piece of a segment, it is useless. It must be one continuous piece, to be effective.
now imagine living for God’s way but not in total trust, faith and belief. it’s like that belt that is missing the segment … useless. Our trust in God and his word needs to be solid. It will be a journey but we can all get there and starts with believing the truth…..his word. Amen
Commit your way to the Lord ; trust in him and he will do this:

I used to not understand what it meant to commit my way to the lord. I knew I still wanted to have control over my life. I wanted to be the deciding factor. It’s this idea of control that keeps us from truly trusting him. So what I do is I take all things to him, and I mean all things.. I don’t just take the big important things to him. I have learned and I learn more each day, there is nothing too big nor too small for our God.
So today take your fears, worries, happiness, joys, pain, hurts, and woes to him – he is listening.

One of the final sections of “Living on Purpose” talks about living every moment. Are you someone who holds yourself back from joy because of fear, doubt, or maybe being insecure. I remember a time when I was afraid to do things, afraid to put myself out there… omg, what if I suck, what if I fail, what if people laugh or stare at me. I would not do things because I was insecure. Then one day it all changed I realized I wasn’t living to please them, I am living to please the Lord and who cares what others think. I like myself, God loves me, so let’s live the life God has put in front of me.. Here is the thing non of us are guaranteed another day.. today could be the last..When all is said and done, it boils down to faith in Christ, a strong relationship with your family, and a life filled with living God’s purpose. So live life, love those in your life like you never have, and be happy. amen.
