Whatever!! Always.

And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
Colossians 3:17 NIV

AND WHATEVER YOU DO…. in word or deed!!!! It does not say, “well only if you do this and say this, then give thanks”. Everything we say must flow from our mouth with Christ as its breath! Every thing we do must be powered by the GRACE and LOVE of our Lord. In doing so we give him thanks and we can change the world. So when you wake up this morning from the first word you speak to the last hug and kiss good night…. DO IT WITH CHRIST IN MIND AND HEART. You will feel amazing and the LORD will be pleased. Amen.

Sinners beware!

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
Romans 3:23 NIV

One of the first things we must do as Christians, is accept that we are sinners. For some this is not easy to do because generally we only associate sin with, lets call them the big issues. The reality, sin is sin and no one sin is greater than another in the eyes of God. Therefore when we accept we are sinners, asking for forgiveness. We then rely on Christ to guide us. The sinners prayer….Dear Lord, I am a sinner. Please forgive me. Come into my life and cleanse me of my unbelief. I invite you to come into my life and heart. I want to trust you and follow you my Lord and savior. Amen

It easy to thank him when qe get what we want

give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
1 Thessalonians 5:18 NIV

I watched something the other day and in it they said something that really hit home about Gods will. “Its Gods design and our responsibility”. We don’t know the plan, yet we do know that he loves us so much. We do know his expectations and his desire for good in our lives. So it’s our responsibility to make sure we seek him first in all circumstances and not just the ones that benefit or suit us best. How many times have we blamed God when things go wrong and forget to thank him when things work in our favor. I for one have many, many times. Today, if your faced with anything good, bad, frustrating or difficult. Thank the Lord because maybe there is a lesson he wants you to learn.Amen.

Remind yourself everyday

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Romans 15:13 NIV

We are constantly being bombarded by satan’s attempts to derail us on our pursuit of Christ. The whispers telling you to abandon your trust. Give up, run away, quit. Like a lion he prowls around just waiting for the perfect situation to create the stronghold. It through trusting of the Lord we are able stand firm in those moments. When put out faith and trust in the one and only it is then we can overflow with grace and love, the holy spirit will flow through us. Trusting in the lord is not easy but we must remind ourselves each and everyday to do so until we can do it like breathing. Amen.

Love is……

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.
John 13:34 NIV

How well do you love others? or better yet, how do you show your love for others? We are being told to love one another as he loves us. So what is love? We know from reading 1 Corinthians 13:4 …. what love is. So be honest with yourself; is your love like this? If not make it your priority to love more, love stronger, love with more passion, with more forgiveness. Love with more patience and understanding. If the greatest of all is love than maybe we should make it the greatest too. Amen.

Faith

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
Proverbs 3:5 NIV

This passage is so powerful yet it can be at times very difficult. This moment, right now. I am finding it hard to trust in him. I want to take a deep breath and breath a sye of relief because I know he has a plan. Yet everything else inside says panic. It is scary. The lord says bring me your tired and weak and that is what I am right now, tired. Tired of fighting the unseen, tired of fighting the world, tired of fighting the emotional. Waiting on those unanswered prayers. Waiting to hear his voice again. I know in my heart the Lord is with me, so I need to trust in him with all my heart. That starts with a single step of faith, and to be silent and listen, go to him in prayer. Amen.

Be a better you!

Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
Ephesians 4:29‭-‬32 NIV

Be kind and loving to those in your life. Don’t be so quick to judge or to blame. Be quick to give affection and love. Don’t leave what needs to be said for another day because we never know what God is planning. Holding on to so much bitterness will only destroy those who love you most, because you will treat those people poorly. Be who God designed you to be.. loving compassionate, and forgiving. Amen.

Let God Speak For You.

A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.
Proverbs 15:1 NIV

When I read this, what comes to mind is how important it is to speak with love when we react to things. As Christian husbands and wives, we are under the watchful eye of all who are around us. Do you get frustrated easily and say mean things? Do you attack people with your words? When we use loving words to combat angry words, what then can used to hurt? It’s hard to use loving and gentle words, when someone else is using harsh one. Therefore we must rely on God to do our speaking. Amen.

Things of this World

1 John 2:15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

Distractions from God can be a very dangerous thing. When we lose site of the Lord, as first and foremost in our life. We start to fear and worry. We start to think I’m in this by myself. Reasons for distractions include ourselves, money, hobbies, relationships, cell phones, TV, and more.Technology is the biggest distraction of all right now.

put yourself under a microscope and be honest with yourself, if you can. Do you allow yo many distraction to get in the way of your relationship with God. When your build that relationship, the rest of your life grows as well. Amen.

Children know best.

And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 18:3‭ NIV

The trust and dependence a child holds for their parents is something so profound they literally do not worry about much in this world. Think about all there is in this world that can harm a young child and yet they dont fear much. My son runs out into a street because he doesnt fear the car. He wants me to hold him and pick him up because he knows I won’t drop him. They get hurt and my kisses take the pain away. In there eyes daddy is everything. I am protector, provider, and comforter. The Lord is telling us to become like children with him. If we trust so deeply than we will be like our children and not fear anything. We will allow us to freely love as God attended us to do. Amen.
