How are you seen by others? The ones who know best, how would they describe you? What kind of person would they say you are? Do you reflect God? Do you represent your faith in a positive way? We all have the light of the Lord ready to shine out for all to see. However many do not. The world gets in the way blocks that light and prevents us from being the beacon of Gods hope, grace and love. I am learning everyday the importance of reminding myself of what is truly important so that I may be a beacon for our lord and savior. When I go I want others to tell the story of my love for family and Christ. Amen.

The Lord says: “These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship of me is based on merely human rules they have been taught.
Isaiah 29:13 NIV

This message is powerful. For what reason to seek the Lord? Do speak as a believer, yet dont give him your trust? Do you pray yet your not truly devoted to him? From a young age, growing up in a Christian home, I was thought you pray, go to church, and be a respectable person. Those were the rules. I followed them that way for years. I called myself a believer, I prayed most days, talked to God often so I was being the perfect paper Christian. Then one day it all clicked for me, God deserves more. He doesnt want you to check a box on the list of “How to be a good Christian ” He wants your heart, he wants your commitment, he wants you to step out in faith and be someone who you may not be comfortable with. He wants you to be a reflection of him. So each day we must live out our life for him. Amen.
