He Died for you!!!

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:8 NIV

Undeserving, sinners, and yet still Christ sacrificed himself to save us from death. How thankful are you really? I mean if I am going to be honest with myself and I know there are plenty out there who lie to themselves.. it’s easier, right?? I would have to say I am thankful, but, I know I could put more time, more love, and more faith into Christ. I think the easiest way to start doing this, to make the change, is with prayer. Remember that you are saved because someone died for you. If someone sacrificed their life to save yours tomorrow, what would you feel, what would you do? Don’t forget who really saved you. amen.

A morning thought…

Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

Phil shared this Morning Thoughts:
When Jesus calls us to follow him into something we may feel inadequate about like: (how about being a parent even); He didn’t call us to a task, a ministry, a good work, or a position because we checked all the boxes of being a good christian. He called us according to his purposes, he called us for what he sees in our heart; how he wants to use us; and maybe because we didn’t check all the boxes. We will HAVE TO rely upon Him. His strength is made perfect in our weakness. He gets the glory. When we step forward; it is in faith and humility. He can work in ways he couldn’t have if it was just based upon the limits of our ability.

RELY ON THE LORD FOR ALL THINGS! AMEN

What have you done for me lately?

Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

Jesus came to serve us and then gave his life for us, he was our ransom, saving us from sin. Have you ever thought about what you sacrifice for him? What are you willing to do for the man who saved your life? What is great, Jesus only wants a relationship with us. He doesnt require that you jump through hoops or check off the list of to-do’s. He loves us know matter what. If I am really honest with myself I could show him more love back. Amen.

Great is your faithfulness

Because of the Lord ’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
Lamentations 3:22‭-‬23 NIV

Every day we are faced with different challenges. Kids, work, finances. Satan is set on getting you off the path of the lord. We have the solution to all this, the Lord’s love. It never stops, never falters, never fails. We ask our own children to come to us when things get tough, we ask them to talk to us tell us what’s wrong. Like our children we need to talk to the Lord and bring to him what is consuming us so he can fight our battles for us. Great is your faithfulness. Blind faith because he loves us. Amen.

Pastor Ben’s sermon was great. There are seasons in life. Peaks and valleys, where one moment we feel great, blessed by the father and the next alone, feeling abandoned, left with questions. Life is truly crazy and nuts. There is not enough time, ever! Too many stressors: kids, work, finances, spouse. The craziness of life will cloud out God from your mind, heart and soul. To build on your passion for Christ we need to be a participant not an observer. We need to be involved in his word, in his church, small groups, and fellowship. Have the relationship with him and watch your life change. amen.

I want to say thank you, to all of you who make it possible for me to share these daily texts. The Lord truly works in the most amazing ways. It’s funny but true: When we pray for patience God doesn’t give one patience, he will put you through a situation testing your patience, giving you the opportunity to be patient. That is exactly what the Lord has done for me. I have been praying for some time, “I want to study your word”. What mean is I want to be able to sit a read the bible for hours on end, studying and all that. I would pray a lot for that. “GIVE ME THE TIME LORD” And it just hit me! The Lord gave me a sitaution to put the desire into action. He encoruaged me through you all, to provide a day text of his word.  By providing this simple act of a text, I seek out his word daily. He knew how much I don’t like to sit and read, he knew all my excuses but he also knew I had a passion inside me for his word. So he made it happen im his way. Because of you, all of you, I have no excuse but to read his word, little by little, each and everyday. The Lord made it happen but now how I expected it. lol. I pray for all you that his word will lighten the weight of this world and reassure you that you are never alone. Amen and thank you !

Wisdom. Get it!

The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding.
Proverbs 4:7 NIV

So when I first read this I didn’t understand what it all meant until I began to research a bit more a man what a powerful message. I asked my self what is Wisdom? In reserching it; It is the power of right judgment – the ability to choose the correct solution for any situation. It is knowing how to think, speak and act in accordance to God’s will. So then I have to ask what is understanding? Understanding is the power of discernment! To see past what seems to be and therefore recognize the actual faults or merits of a thing, a way of thinking, or an action. If we don’t really understand the wisdom we are given then we are easily lead astray. To sum it all up seeking God’s wisdom is priority 101, understanding it is essential to living a life if Christ, and applying it would be our example of faith. Amen.

Peace Be With You

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
John 16:33 NIV

Seek first the kingdom of God. Seek first the kingdom of God. Seek first the kingdom of God. Then the rest will fall into place as it should. When we seek the Lord in all we do, we are receiving a peace that can not be explained. I remember a time when I was envious of those who had that confidence, that joy, that relationship, the trust in the Lord. I told myself that I was doing all I had to do, so why don’t I feel like they do?  I read my bible, went to church, did small groups, why then does everyhing  go wrong for me? I only upset myself more. How come they can do it, how come they are filled with joy? The Lord has over come the world so it only makes sense to submit to our Lord and savior and lean on him. I had not done that. Oh I believed, but I had not trusted. When I finally did, I finally felt the joy, felt the peace, the love, the grace of our Lord, only when I put him first in my life. It was hard to discipline but with him anything is possible amen.

Coffee With God

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Romans 15:13 NIV

Our brother Billy coined the phrase “Coffee With God” it means to start your day out right. In doing so we will fill our day with joy, hope and love. Why would anyone knowingly want to start out there day on the wrong foot? Right, Yup but we do it all the time. Coffee with God is anything. It may be waking up with prayer, it may be waking up and reading, maybe you meet up with fellow Christ followers and fellowship, or maybe like me today you crank the stereo up, you and the kids sing ” I can only imagine” loud! lol Whatever your coffee may be, do it when you wake up. Start your day, each and everyday out with God. I am willing to be bet if you don’t do this already, once you start, your joy and spirit will be filled to the max. Others will notice and they will lifted for it!!! Amen.

Living For Today, Love like no Tomorrow

Philippians 3:13 “Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”

Yesterday I watched the move Courageous. An amazing inspirational movie. If you haven’t seen it sorry for the spoiler. The main character loses his daughter and has feelings of regret. He regrets not being a better father. He wishes he would have danced with his daughter; a moment he didn’t take advantage of and now she is gone. Yet through God’s word he grows and learns not to live with regrets but to be a better father, husband. He stand up and makes himself accountable for doing God work. Today, make the commitment to be accountable to what God has waiting for you. Dont live with any regret. Be honest with yourself and ask youself if you are being the husband, wife, mother, father, sister, or brother that God wants you to be? And remember life is filled with moments, each moment can be taken advantage of or dismissed. Don’t dismiss moments with your loved ones, you never know what God has planned. AMEN.
